Coonamble Times reporter Lily Plass bagged 2024 Young Journalist of the Year on Friday 18 October at the Country Press NSW awards.
The cadet journalist wooed the judging panel with a set of three stories on different subjects.
The competition requires that the entrants be under 30 years of age as at 30 June this year and Lily, in her first year as a journalist, is 25.
